Mr. Chen has studied in Hubei University and Wuhan University, obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and a Master’s Degree in Law respectively. He is an experienced lawyer with a particular practice focus on commercial dispute resolutions, banking, listing financing, cross-border M&A, real estates/urban renewal project etc.

Mr. Chen had provided legal advice and participated in the listing processes of the following listed companies: Directel Holdings Limited, Guotai Junan International Holdings Limited etc. He had also led the urban renewal project in Futian, Longgang, Longhua and Pingshan districts in Shenzhen. Over the years of Mr. Chen ’s practice, he has been involved in various high profile litigations and arbitrations, including: acting for a real estate company in successfully obtaining 300 million claim which went to the retrial process in the Supreme People’s Court of the PRC; acting for a bank against a Beijing real estate company in relation to a loan contract dispute concerning 50 million RMB; acting for a bank against a Huizhou company in relation to contract litigation concerning 70 million HKD; acting for a Hong Kong company against a Guangzhou company in relation to mortgage disputes concerning 200 million HKD; acting for two Shenzhen companies against a subsidiary of a Hong Kong listed company in relation to processing contract disputes concerning 180 million RMB; acting for a stock exchange market against over hundred investors on investment disputes.

Mr. Chen has been repeatedly invited to give lectures for Hong Kong related legal institutions on PRC laws. He was also one of the contributors and the reviewers of an influential professional writing on cross boarder legal area: A Study on the Legal Practice of Cross-border Commercial Dispute Resolution -From the Perspective of the Mainland and Hong Kong (2017).
